Midtown / Vanderbilt Food Tour
Nestled between downtown, Vanderbilt University and Music Row, Midtown is where Nashville put down its culinary roots more than a generation ago. This bustling area remains home to long-standing destinations and impressive newcomers.
Once more of a business district, Midtown now hums with residential high-rises, hotels and a host of drinking and dining options. This is where old Nashville meets “New Nashville.” Where big-city development embraces small-town charm. Where down-home diners meld with upscale eateries, and Southern hospitality is always on the menu.
Explore this ever-changing neighborhood with us and indulge in Nashville’s passion for taking Southern fare to new heights while staying grounded in old-fashioned favorites.
What to Expect
With six tasting stops over three hours, you’ll savor a wonderful variety of local foods and learn the stories behind Nashville’s dining institutions and rising culinary stars. You’ll enjoy elevated Southern cuisine, chef-driven pub fare and tastes that Nashvillians have enjoyed for decades.
And you’ll receive personal attention from chefs and food industry experts creating our dynamic food culture.
Between bites, you’ll walk Nashville’s “Rock Block”— a launchpad for unexpected stars— and stroll through the oldest part of Vanderbilt University. You’ll hear about a celebrity-studded high-rise and a restaurant that attracted the likes of Muhammed Ali and the Rolling Stones. Our engaging guide will share stories that even locals don’t know.
